Fleet Operational Energy Assistant Team Leads


Location

  • Norfolk, VA

Position Requirements

  • Assist Team Leader with management and overall coordination of the Operational Energy support staff
  • Provide technical and logistics support to Fleet energy program policy and governance activities
  • Interface with Fleet operational commands, TYCOMS, and SYSCOM staff
  • Participate in oversight, review, and reporting of Fleet operational energy projects
  • Prepare correspondence, briefings, fact sheets, white papers, etc. in response to congressional inquiries, taskers, FOIA requests for higher level leadership review and approval
  • Arrange and facilitate conferences/meetings/conference calls to include, but not limited to: coordination with Government personnel, delivery of briefings and demonstrations, development of agendas, provide call-in numbers, preparation of information sheets/briefings for distribution at meetings and conference calls, and preparation of summary reports
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Naval Education and Training Command's development of Navy Energy NTSP
  • Other duties as designated in support of operational energy efforts
  • Security clearance required: Secret

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science; engineering, science, technology, or equivalent field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years relevant military operational experience in: USN, USCG, USMC, or equivalent
  • Former U.S. Navy chief petty officer (E7-E9), warrant officer, line officer, or equivalent
  • Experience with Fleet energy programs at the operational, staff headquarters, or equivalent level

Fleet Energy Manager Support (FEMS)


Location

  • Norfolk, VA

Position Requirements

  • Provide technical and logistics support to Fleet energy program policy and governance activities
  • Conduct and report on shipboard energy training
  • Conduct and report on shipboard energy audits
  • Interface with Fleet operational commands, TYCOMS, and SYSCOM staff
  • Participate in review and reporting of Fleet operational energy projects
  • Support the preparation of correspondence, briefings, fact sheets, white papers, etc. in response to congressional inquiries, taskers, FOIA requests for higher level leadership review and approval
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Naval Education and Training Command's development of Navy Energy NTSP
  • Other duties as designated in support of operational energy efforts
  • Security clearance required: Secret

Education/Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, science, technology, or equivalent field

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years relevant experience with maintenance and operation of shipboard propulsion and electrical systems
  • Former U.S. Navy chief petty officer (E7-E9), warrant officer, line officer, or equivalent
  • Experience educating and training the Fleet on conservation initiatives, equipment, procedures, and methods that will aid in at-sea and shore-side energy saving efforts
  • Experience with Fleet energy programs at the operational, staff headquarters, or equivalent level

Fleet Operational Energy Data Analysts


Location

  • East Coast of U.S. in close proximity to NAVSEA or USFF Command, Norfolk

Position Requirements

  • Provide technical and logistics support to Fleet energy program policy and governance activities
  • Provide analytical support in the implementation of operational energy metrics and ship energy audits
  • Participate in review and reporting of Fleet operational energy projects
  • Support the preparation of correspondence, briefings, fact sheets, white papers, etc. in response to congressional inquiries, taskers, FOIA requests for higher level leadership review and approval
  • Provide subject matter expertise in Naval Education and Training Command's development of Navy Energy NTSP
  • Other duties as designated in support of operational energy efforts
  • Security clearance required: Secret

Education/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics or related field

Experience Requirements

  • Experience with relevant linear regression analyses
  • Experience working relevant energy program policy and governance for military, government, or corporate entity
